A life-long resident of Pontiac & Livingston County, I believe serving, helping, & taking care
of people has been a long running theme in my family. From decades of success with the
Pines Supper Club in Streator, to Wayman’s ACE Hardware in DeKalb & Wayman’s True
Value Hardware in Morton, Wayman’s Resort in Boulder Jct. Wisconsin, and finally,
Wayman’s Super-Way in Cornell, I was destined to carry on the tradition of serving my
community. The grocery store in Cornell eventually expanded into Pontiac with my parents
to become a staple in the community for years to come, as Don’s Supermarket.
After achieving an Associate’s Degree in Marketing in 1991, I began helping manage Don’s
Supermarket in Pontiac until it was time for my parents to sell the business & retire in 2006.
After much thought & consideration, I pursued a real estate license in the fall of 2005, &
officially began my real estate career on January 1, 2006. Although I enjoy working with all
types of clients every day, I especially appreciate helping, educating, & counseling young,
first-time home buyers. It’s a great feeling to ease their fears & concerns during the
process, & see their smiling, excited faces at closing.
Although I help clients “buy & sell” properties every day, I’ve never looked at it as a “sales”
job. In my opinion, it’s more about guiding, educating, & counseling people to help them
make what is typically a very difficult decision easier.
